Experience

Research Assistant @ Columbia Creative Machines Lab, NYC

September 2024 - Present

  • Designed and implemented the Disagreement Augmentation algorithm, enhancing student model robustness and generalization in knowledge distillation through structured disagreement.
  • Conducted large-scale experiments, achieving significant performance improvements across diverse image classification datasets and student/teacher model architectures.
  • Advised by Professor Hod Lipson.
  • See Paper and GitHub (ongoing work)

Software Engineer Intern @ Google, Seattle

June - August 2024

  • Engineered and deployed a distributed C++ log aggregation pipeline processing 1.48 PiB/day, compressing it to ~8 MiB/day of actionable insights.
  • Leveraged machine learning clustering algorithms to automate traffic pattern recognition.
  • Solved a critical latency calculation bug, reducing specific error response rates by 80%.

Software Developer @ Cambridge Youth Soccer, Cambridge, MA

May - September 2023

  • Contributed to open-source team creation software used by soccer coaches to streamline team setups.
